at the outset of the year, i created a private, personal goal: write and release 12 songs in 2025, in order to foster more ideas being made public, less time spent between releasing albums, and to make risk taking easier. these songs explore the fragility of employing improvisation and immediacy as a methodology for songwriting and songmaking (more aptly, song-releasing), and the richness as a result of quickly moving through ideas and sonic matter. preciousness can be the enemy of good art. immediacy reigns supreme in these songs.
